When you need to write a progress report, Nota helps you by pulling the data you have already entered in treatment notes.

To start, navigate to the Progress Notes tab.

The first time you create a progress report for any patient, you’ll see a blank header section and the components for building a progress report, date range and report title.

To build a report, you’ll first have to tell Nota two things you'd like for this report:

1. Choose a date range for the progress report. We have configured some common selections for you, the last three months, the last six months, and the time since the last progress report for the patient you are working on.

2. Type a title for the report you want to build.

3. Once you’ve selected the date range, build the report by clicking, or tapping, Update Note. This will tell Nota to pull the treatment note activity from within the date range you selected.

Now that the data has been pulled into the report, fill in the comment areas.

Progress summary - Write an overall summary of the period and your patient’s progress.

Goals and objectives - Every objective you worked on with your patient will be pulled into the progress report, and a comment area will be associated with it. Use each of these areas to comment on the objectives you choose.

Next to the comment area you’ll see two checkboxes, one to mark an objective achieved, the next to add the objective and your comments to the progress report.

Recommendations and PlanOnce you have commented on the objectives, use Recommendations and Plan to describe your recommendations for this patient and the future plan for activities and visits.

Prognosis - Use the last comment area, Prognosis, to describe your prognosis for the patient.

Once you are finished, save your report and you’ll see it listed in the header section for this patient. From here you may create a PDF, for saving or printing.
