A practice owner can customize any of the elements in the default treatment note to fit the needs of the practice. To customize the treatment note, navigate to Settings.

Once inside settings, navigate to Configure Treatment Notes, choose the specialty to customize and select Customize.

After selecting customize, there are four different options to customizing the treatment note.

1. Select specialty - This setting allows a practice owner to create the treatment note which each specialty will see. Each specialty may have its own treatment note format.

2. Show and hide - The practice owner can decide which of the available elements to display, or to hide, for each specialty.

3. Re-label - Default labels are assigned based on the SOAP note format, the practice owner may edit these to fit the practice needs.

4. Default value - To save time entering notes, a practice owner may enter default text in any of the fields. When text is entered, this text will be visible anytime a new treatment note is opened by any therapist.

Within the default value element, a further level of customization exists. In some fields, a practice may need multiple default selections, rather than one text entry. In this case,  type each entry on its own line. Once the owner saves the entries, a drop-down element will appear where  multiple selections exist, or the text will appear where there is only one option.
